Light, Time and the Alchemy of Materials
I have spent decades observing the world through photographic processes. Curious by nature, I am drawn to what lies beneath and within—exploring the relationships between people, place, and the natural environment.
My practice has evolved from photographing the external world to working directly with the materials of photography itself. Through analogue and digital processes, I investigate the alchemy of image making, embracing the movement, chance and unpredictable nature of chemistry.
Working predominantly within the darkroom, my work exists at the intersection of observation and transformation. I am fascinated by the ways in which light, time, and material interact—how images emerge, dissolve, and reveal themselves through process.
Ultimately, my work is an invitation to look more closely: to consider the subtle connections between ourselves and the world around us, and to recognise that everything is in a constant state of becoming.
